Most of the production of thermoplastics consists of polypropylene grades in various versions. In addition to polyethylene, high-performance plastics are also used. Regenerates are only processed upon special request.
Depending on the stress caused by temperature and chemical attack, the following quality grades of polypropylene must be distinguished:
ENGINEERING PLASTICS | SUITABILITY |
POLYPROPYLENE Saddle | Inert to almost all Acids and Dilute Caustic Solutions (low pH) upto 70 Deg. C (158 Deg. F) |
HDPE Saddle | Inert to almost all Acids and Dilute Caustic Solutions (low pH) upto 55 Deg. C (131Deg. F) |
PVDF Saddle | Inert to almost all Acids and Strong Caustic Solutions (low pH) upto 130 Deg. C (266 Deg. F) |
PFA Saddle | Inert to almost all Acids and Dilute Caustic Solutions (low pH) upto 210 Deg. C (410 Deg. F) |
FEP Saddle | Inert to almost all Acids and Dilute Caustic Solutions (low pH) upto 356 Deg. C (410 Deg. F) |
PTFE Saddle | Inert to almost all Acids and Dilute Caustic Solutions (low pH) upto 210 Deg. C (410 Deg. F) |
